Benue state Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has warned against possible diversion of relief materials provided for the internally Displaced, Persons in the state.
Governor Hyacinth stated this Thursday while flagging off the first distribution of food items and other relief materials for the IDPs during his administration.

A day after hosting the UN delegation to the state on a humanitarian visit, Governor Hyacinth Alia is here at the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA to flag off distribution of food items to the internally Displaced Persons in various camps in the state.
Governor Alia reassures Benue people that his administration remains committed to providing long term solution for the safe return of the IDPs to their ancestral homes.
While stressing the need for the people to be their brothers keeper, the Governor again expresses appreciation to various donors for their contributions towards the upkeep of the IDPs in the state.
He directs the State Emergency Management Agency to ensure fair distribution of the items bearing in mind that all IDPs’ camps in the state henceforth carry the status of official camp Food items including rice, indomie, garri, sugar, vegetable and palm oil are to be distributed across the 14 IDP camps in the state
